   自分の Comment #40 についての補足です。

   これだけでは意味がわからないですね。。。

   以下、経過を簡単に書いておきます (英語力がないので日本語のみ )

   最初に John さんからコメント #34 をいただいたあと、お願いされた用件は無事終了することができました。しばらくして、

   「こんな日本の住所、名前、電話番号が書かれたものが見つかったんだけど、いまの日本でこの情報は valid or invalid？ 」 というメールが届く

      ↓

   調べてみたところ住所は昔のもので、いまは存在しない番地で invalid 、名前は日本人が見ればおそらく誰でも姓のつづりが間違っていることがすぐにわかるような間違いだったので正しい姓に修正、電話番号はふたつ書いてあり、ひとつは郵便番号と合体したような番号でしたが、もうひとつはいまでも通用する番号なのでたぶん valid 、という内容で John さんに返信

   John さんの sister、試しにいまでも通用する電話番号に電話をかけてみた

      ↓

   ナント :!!: いま現在もメモに残された方がそこに住んでいた
   。。。この夏に再会

   ということなのです。

   たかが数字の羅列、されど数字の羅列。並んだ数字が電話番号ということになると重要な情報、重要なメッセージを発信し、すてきな出会いを演出してくれますね。

   Thank you so much for the photos. I was stationed at Atsugi from 1976 ~ 1981 then stationed at Yokosuka from 1990 ~ 2000. I visited the Yokohama housing area many times during my first tour and during my second tour we lived at Negishi. I loved looking at the pictures of the past and they brought back many memories. The 10 years I lived in Negishi have been the best time of my life. We raised our two sons there and they thoroughly enjoyed it. My oldest has returned to Japan, married his Japanese girlfriend and have two beautiful daughters. He is currently working at the Negishi Medical Clinic. I would give anything to be able to re-live those ten years again….absolutely the best times of our lives. Thank you so much!!!

   I have been here before, but just came into possession of pics of Nagai in the mid to late 60’s (66-69). I don’t have many now, may get more later. They are black and white, grainy, but one may show when the school burned down. I was there, and we held classes in everybody’s houses for awhile. I can send them to you if you would like, you have done so much to keep Nagai alive, I would like you to have them.

   Great reading about people like myself who had the pleasure of living in Japan as dependents in the early 60’s and living in Nagai Heights. The beach was so beautiful I still have 2 large fishing balls I picked up on the beach and a host of memories.I went to Callighan School, Sullivan , St. Josephs in Yokohama and Yo-Hi during the 4 years I lived there. Movies under the stars at Nagai and the bus to the teen club in Yokosuka. Thank you so much,

     Do you have a younger brother named Michael? We played little league baseball together and had to take the bus to Yokosuka. I also lived in Nagai in the 60’s.

   in your photos of negashi hights 1988 friendship days i was surprised to see my picture there we were members of the cpo assocaition ad we were bbqing chicken .thats me with the hat on backwards do ing the cookong. the locals loved our chicken they would line up early and wait patiently for it to cook. thank u for the memoties.

     Wow, really?

     I liked friendship day. Because it was able to eat american foods and to buy low price Budweiser beer. I was always buying it two cartons ::-D: Bud was expensive in those days in Japan.
     Negishi Friendship Day is good memories for me.

   82/83 Honmoku Flash.ver.を発見した時は、胸が詰まる思いでした。本牧で生まれ育った自分にとって、Flashの中のいくつかの写真には忘れられない思い出があるからです。
   もし他にも写真をお持ちでしたら、是非、拝見させて頂きたいと思い、書き込みました。宜しくお願いします。

     Home Townさん、はじめまして。

     他にもここに載せていないものがあるにはあるのですが
     写真的にかなりイマイチなのでいまのところ公開する予定はありません。

     現在載せているものも写真を始めた頃にプリントしたものを
     スキャンした画像なのでいつかは差し替えたいなと思ってはいるものの
     なかなか取りかかれないのが現状です。
