   Memories yes, sad to see it so run down (before torn down). It was a lively active place for many years. Many American military students spent many happy years in Yokohama, Japan.

   Thanks very much for sharing these wonderful photos. They are subarashii and bring back fond memories of my time in Japan from 1956-59 and 1962-71. I attended high school in Yokohama for my last four years there. I now live in Oregon. The photos made me sad to see my old stomping grounds in such a state of disrepair and neglect. However, that is progress, right? It was also very interesting to see the aerial photo that shows how the area has changed.

   Totemo natsukashii desu! I went to school there from 1968-1970, but I lived in Yokosuka/Oppama from 1954-1959 and visited Yokohama many times. Then in 1980, my husband was transferred to Yokohama, by the U.S. Navy. I was in Yokohama when your photos were taken. I lived in Ninotani and Negishi Heights. In fact, I taught exercise lessons in the gymnasium of the old school, just before they closed it down. So many memories. Thank you so much for sharing them. Honto ni arigatou gozaimasu.

   しやしん　わ　とても　すばらしいい。　Thank you so much for posting these and allowing me to travel down memory lane. I arrived in Japan a 15 year old kid who was made at being forced to come to Japan. 5 years later My parents had to force me to leave Japan when they returned to the US. I loved my time in Japan!!! I often thought I missed out on things while I lived their but after returning to the US any thing I missed I more than made up for in my experiences in living in Japan. I married a Japanese girl and we bought a house in Yokosuka. We are now living in america because of the military but someday I will return to Japan to live. Thank you once again for the wonderful pictures.
