Thank you so much for these pictures. My husband and I both
went to Yo-Hi in the late 60’s. He was in the class of 68 and left
that year I was class of 70 and left in 69. It was so good to see
some of the pictures…sad as well. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!! We have a website for YOHI if you would like to look at

In 1985, I was stationed at the Navy Hospital in Yokosuka. We lived
in the town of Nagai-cho, just down the back street from the housing area and about a block from Nagahama. Sometimes I would walk up the hill and catch the shuttle bus from Nagai Heights into base. I had many Friends who lived in Nagai Heights. They closed the housing area while I was there.
I came back for another tour from 1990-1995 and was saddened to drive out to Nagai and see the ruins.

凄く懐かしい写真ありがとうございます。私は昭和４５年に横須賀生まれの横須賀育ち。今も横須賀に住んでいます。 Area 1 & 2、良いですね！ 今はMYCALになり、長井もソレイユーの丘に変わり。。。いい事ですけどちょっと寂しいです。私も、主人、姉、弟もみんなYOHIに行きました。後2年で息子も行きます。Thank you so much for the pictures!!

私のサイトへのリンクがjapan-guide.com forum内の
「Yokohama Navy Exchange was where?」というスレッドに貼られているのを見つけ
一緒に並んでいたyohidevils.netのリンクをクリックしたのが事の始まりでした。
いろいろ見ていくと同窓会だということがわかり
それならば本牧とか長井の写真を見たら
きっとなつかしいんじゃないかなぁと思いページ制作に取り掛かりました。
作っただけでは仕方がないので、米国で「YOHI」をキーワードに検索したところ
MSNコミュニティにサイトを見つけたのでいきなり失礼かとは思ったのですが
「写真を載せました」みたいな文章を残してきました。
たくさんの方にアクセスしていただき、さらにあたたかいコメントまでいただき
公開してよかったなぁと思っています。
Maliさんは生まれも育ちもお住まいも横須賀とのこと。
私が横須賀へ行ったのは1988年のFriendship Dayが最後かも。
それ以前は海からの帰り、たまにHoney Beeでオニオンリング食べたり
どぶ板通りで遊んで帰ったりしたのですが。。。
（そう言えば1988年のFriendship Dayは2005年に白血病で亡くなった本田美奈子さんがライブやってたなぁ。。。）

確かにWEBサイトに「長井海の手公園」という名前が付いていますね。
、、、気がつくの遅すぎ
息子さんもあと2年でYOHIに通われるのですね。
日本ではYOHIのように世代をこえてコミュニケーションが取れるような同窓会ってあまりないですよね。正直ビックリしました。
同じ学年もしくはクラス単位になってしまうのが普通でしょう。
やはり国民性の違いでしょうかね。
本当はいままでコメントいただいたみなさんへも
こういう感じで返信したいところなのですが
なかなかどうして、英語力がイマイチなので
百分の一ぐらいしか表現できませんでした(トホホ)
。。。生まれ変わったら、英語の達人になりたい。

長井ハイツの写真も拡大できるようにしたいし

Shashin arigatogosaimasu. Those picture bring back a lot of great memories. I lived closed to Negishi in a placed called Taki no ue until 1982. I remember going through the Honmuku base in early 1982 which was a ghost town by then. It’s kind of sad to think the area I grew up in is gone. But your pictures help many of us relive those great times. Once again, thank you!
